His father, Jonas Hackett, is a steadfast believer in the power of stories and often recounts tales of larger-than-life heroes. When a ruthless land developer named J.P. Stiles threatens to seize their land, Daniel finds himself transported into a fantastical realm where he meets the folk legends his father spoke of—cowboy Pecos Bill, lumberjack Paul Bunyan (accompanied by his blue ox Babe), and steel-driving man John Henry. Through a series of adventures, Daniel learns the value of courage, community, and standing up for what’s right. The film culminates in a showdown that blends dream and reality, reinforcing the timeless power of storytelling.

Welcome to the Disney Movie and Film Encyclopedia!

Welcome to the Disney Movie and Film Encyclopedia. I love Disney movies and films, I love talking about them and especially researching and writing about them. My goal is to combine all the research I do into a book with the same title. I will use this blog to share some of the research I do in preparation of the book as well as other random movie and film topics, newsworthy items and reviews. My end goal is to create the most concise and comprehensive Disney movie and film book (and blog) available.

This project has been years in the making and there is so much left to do. I appreciate everyone who visits and hope you return often. You can follow the Disney Movie and Film Encyclopedia on X @dismovieandfilm. I can also be reached via email at disneymovieandfilmencyclopedia@gmail.com.
